About Pre-Qualified Invited Bids

How They Work

Prequalified, invited bids work very much like hard bids, but the contractor has to be pre-qualified in order to submit a bid. This process is sometimes called closed bidding.

Advantages

Clients, often working with design professionals determine in advance what contractors will be invited to bid on projects. This is based on pre-qualification standards that a client feels are vital to the success of the project.
